Gorgeous Georgians at Dumfries Museum, 7th December 2 till 4pm

Do come along to Dumfries Museum for a drop in event 2 till 4pm. This is your chance to find out what festive celebrations would have been like at the time of Robert Burns. Many people believe that Christmas was not celebrated in the 18th century in Scotland. However, as MPs and merchants travelled south they began to adopt practises they had witnessed in England. Dances and family gatherings round the tea table were popular.
