12th August is the opening of the Edinburgh International Book Festival. It is also the launch of the LitLong App, the brain child of Prof. James Loxley and his team at Edinburgh University’s School of Literatures, Language and Cultures. The idea of this free App is to enable further exploration of the literary presence of Edinburgh.
To mark the launch, Robert Louis Stevenson and the forgotten Victorian writer, Catherine Sinclair, will take you on a stroll around New Town Edinburgh highlighting areas that are important to them.
The walks are free and start from Greenhouse 2 on George Street, Edinburgh and are suitable for all the family.
