Alma
Parkington - Secret Scotland at the National Library
of Scotland
"The National Library of Scotland founded
its Education and Outreach service in August 2004, and
was immediately faced with the challenge of bringing
our treasures to life for new audiences. We invited Artemis
Cultural and Education Services to develop a number of
programmes based on our exhibitions for schools and family
groups, and we were delighted with the result. They created
exciting and engaging workshops with a host of characters
from history, from Alma Parkington, a wartime spy, to
Miss Levack, a very scarey Victorian teacher! The work
they produced was always of the highest quality, and
the comments we received from participants speak for
themselves... "
